OUR WORK

CHOKE CONSERVANCY
An extremely broad project starting with a detailed action plan on how to set up a conservancy on two working ranches effectively from scratch.
The action plan included important details on infrastructure, potential income streams, security, biodiversity management and realistic timelines for progress.
TOURISM CIRCUIT PLAN
LNC is involved in the facilitation of a Tourism Circuit Plan for the Taita-Taveta landscape for the Taita-Taveta Wildlife Conservancies Association.

A Tourism circuit is a preplanned route which is safe and enjoyable for clients while also being sustainable for landowners and land users in the area.
LODGE MANAGEMENT
Lions Bluff Lodge 2009-2020
Diani Blue 2014-2020

The team has wide general management experience of running all aspects of two very different tourist accommodations; one remote community project bush lodge, one beach boutique hotel and restaurant.

BIODIVERSITY AND MONITORING

This includes ranger training, data collection and customized reporting to management and stakeholders.
Implementing modern GPS technology to solve your reporting issues.

CONSERVANCY MANAGEMENT
Leckie Nature Consultancy partners with Isaaten Wildlife Conservancy to strengthen its sustainability and resilience.
Our work involves creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), hiring staff, maintaining roads, and building an airstrip. We're committed to erosion control and managing biodiversity through Earth Ranger training and scout recruitment.
We collaborate closely with Bushtops Camps, the tourism enterprise within the 6000 km² conservancy, and engage local communities through the trustees, landowners, grazing committees, the Women’s Project, and Kali School. Our work includes supporting feeding programs for Nkoilale Primary School, scholarships, and bursaries.
We specialize in resolving human-wildlife conflicts, conducting boma audits, and negotiating land lease agreements to promote balanced conservation and community development.
